About Melissa

I was born in Sudbury Ontario and lived in Northern Ontario until my family moved to Brockville in the 90s. My husband, son and I live in Gananoque. We have always had a great appreciation for nature and love being so close to the St. Lawrence River.

I am a member of the VAGA Art Gallery in Gananoque and of the MAG. I am self-taught and really drawn to mixed media and abstract styles, enjoying the creative freedom they allow. I continue to develop my style through local and online workshops. I love bright, colorful, textured art. I feel like I am at the early stages of a great journey, and I am excited to see how my work evolves. I recently said to my son, “If I die with paint on my hands then I have had a good life”.
