Members and membership

We think our artists are pretty awesome

Yup, we’re pretty proud of our guild members. And we think you’ll agree. Their talents showcase a variety of disciplines. From painters to photographers, sculptors to jewellery makers, woodturners to potters, and more! There is art here that is sure to catch your eye.

MAG booklet

The MAG booklet, published annually, showcases all of our active artists. Each listing features an example of their work, a brief artist’s statement and contact information. There’s also a map to show the locations of those studios that are open to the public.

Become a member today

Do you want to be part of growing the arts in our community? MAG membership is open to everyone who loves the arts. You don’t have to be working in the arts, you just have to want to get involved.

Did you know?

We assist emerging artists

MAG initiated an Emerging Artist Program to assist local youth in the realization of their future art projects. Local youth between the ages of 14-18 are invited to apply for the grant.

We created a film camera lending library

The MAG Photographic Collective created a 35mm Film Camera Lending Library for Merrickville-Wolford photographers to experience film photography without having to purchase any camera equipment. All you need to access this resource is a Merrickville Public Library card.

What started it all: studio tours!

Although our guild is morphing into something bigger and better, for over 30 years the Merrickville Arts Guild hosted an autumn Studio Tour. In 2019, the pandemic threw us a curveball. President Nick Previsich discusses the 2020 virtual Studio Tour.

MAG reimagined

COVID forced us to reimagine how we would bring the arts to the community. And we did not disappoint. Our first Festival of the Arts in 2021 was an amazing success. And so was the 2022 festival! Be sure to join us in 2023!
