It is with great sadness to inform our art community of the passing of Pieter Doef yesterday. Pieter was an amazingly talented painter and sculptor. We had the privilege of honouring Pieter last year at the Merrickville Festival of the Arts and we let him know how much we appreciated his creative spirit and wonderful works of art. His contribution to the Merrickville Arts Guild was greatly appreciated and he will be deeply missed. Our sincere condolences go out to his family.
