MAG is delighted to have Michael Harrington as our guest speaker for our first Conversations of 2026. For over 40 years he has been a leader in the fields of treatment, preservation and presentation of cultural and heritage collections in Canada. During his career, he led treatment and conservation activities for the National Historic Sites (Parks Canada) and the Canadian Conservation Institute. Over his career he has worked with publicly funded institutions such as museums, art galleries and cultural centres, academic institutions, Indigenous communities, and private collectors across Canada and internationally. As the journey continues, Michael finds that there is one area of work that has grabbed a large piece of his heart. This presentation and discussion illustrates some of the highlights of the last years, showing where his current area of greatest interest lies.
Join us in the “Club Room” on the main floor of the Merrickville Legion on Thursday, November 13, 2025. The talk starts at 7:30 PM; doors open at 7:00 PM. Free for MAG members, $5 for non-members. Cash bar. We look forward to seeing you there!
