MAG ConversationsAs part of our MAG Conversations’ series, the Merrickville Arts Guild (MAG) is pleased to present what will be a fascinating conversation on ‘The Art of Fine Art Conservation’ with Anne Ruggles.

Anne was a Conservator of Paintings at the National Gallery of Canada for over thirty years. She was a graduate of the Queen’s University Master of Art Conservation program (MAC) in 1977. This was and remains Canada’s principal museum conservation training program, founded in 1974. Anne restored Bartolomeo Montagna’s “St. Jerome in Penitence” and contributed to a lavishly illustrated multi-authored book titled “Tom Thomson” which is a comprehensive and compelling account of Tom Thomson’s life and times.

Join us in the “Club Room” on the main floor of the Merrickville Legion on Thursday November 16, 2023. The talk starts at 7:30 PM; doors open at 7:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!

Check our group Facebook page for any last-minute adjustments.

This event is FREE for current MAG Members and Friends of MAG. A small fee of $5.00 will be charged at the door for non-members.
