About Mark
Born in England in 1964, Mark came to Canada at the age of 5. Raised in an artistic family, he is a self taught artist who has been drawing and painting since an early age.
Having grown up in Deep River, a love and interest in local and historic scenes from the Ottawa Valley and surrounding areas has found its way into his work depicted in a variety of mediums from pencil and pen and ink to watercolour and acrylics.
Mark’s favourite medium is watercolours which allow for a sense of fluid motion and unpredictable complexity and provides viewers with an emotional artistic narrative.
Mark’s art has been exhibited and sold in shows and galleries throughout the Ottawa Valley. He has also completed private commissions with some of his works displayed at Ottawa City Hall and the Prime Minister’s Office.
