MAG artists have been busy coming up with new ideas for arts events to complement the celebrated annual autumn Studio Tour we had been hosting for more than 30 years. Through our own initiatives and joint sponsorships, we want to share our love of creativity with everyone in our wonderful community and beyond. These arts events are open to all and we hope you find them both stimulating and inspirational.

Studio Tours
For over 30 years the Merrickville Arts Guild autumn Studio Tour has given thousands of art lovers a peek into our creative worlds. While most MAG artists open their studios year round with set hours, by chance or by appointment, we like to highlight our annual Studio Tour and Sale in the fall. At that time if you decide to visit you know for sure we will be in our studios waiting to welcome you with new works made especially for this event.

Festival of the Arts
The Merrickville Festival of the Arts provides a unique opportunity to view beautiful art, listen to great music, watch theatrical productions and hear poetry read by local poets. In collaboration with the Merrickville Organization for Culture and the Arts, MAG participates in the Merrickville Festival of the Arts. Activities takes place in the Blockhouse Park on the beautiful banks of the Rideau Canal. The date is announced on the MAG Facebook page (opens in a new window) and our News page.
MAG Gallery venues
Through the generosity of the Iron Forge Restaurant (opens in a new window) on Main Street in Merrickville, the The Boat House Café (opens is a new window) in Kemptville, and the 1840 Guest House (opens in new window) on Main Street in Merrickville, MAG has established 3 wonderful venues to showcase the work of guild artists. A delightful occasion to spend a night or two in beautiful Merrickville, enjoy a delicious meal, and view wonderful works of art.
Shows and Sales

Conversations
Conversations is a bimonthly gathering at the Legion, where MAG invites speakers from the community to talk about interesting aspects of their art or other experiences.

Workshops
Some of our members occasionnally offer workshops to the public. These are announced on the MAG Facebook page (opens in a new window) and our News page. Feel free to connect with us if there is a specific workshop you would like us to host. We can check with our artists to see if they can accommodate the request.
Merrickville Art Walk
Merrickville Art Walk (opens in new window) is a collaborative program between MAG and the Maureen McAuliff Gallery (opens in new window), bringing local artists to the Merrickville business community. Watch live art unfold right on business properties, meet the artists, and experience creativity in action. Come connect, be inspired, and celebrate the artistic spirit at the heart of Merrickville.
