Commercial products
The following commercially produced or mass-assembled items are not eligible for MAG membership:
- Mass-produced iItems – Factory-made goods, including wholesale or imported products.
- Kits and pre-fabricated crafts – Any work made from commercial kits, patterns, or templates.
- Unaltered prints – Photocopies, posters, or digital prints without artistic modification (exception: limited-edition, signed artist prints).
- Machine-assembled jewellery – Pre-made components with minimal artistic input (e.g., stringing pre-bought beads without original design).
- Heat-pressed or sublimated goods – Mugs, clothing, or home décor featuring printed stock images.
- Commercial stickers and decals – Vinyl decals, stickers, or transfers that are not hand-drawn or painted.
- AI-generated or template-based digital art – Work created solely by AI or digital templates without significant artistic intervention.
- Mass-produced home décor – Pre-fabricated wall art, furniture, or resin crafts using commercial molds with no customization.
- Candles, soaps, oils, lotions, crystals, herbal mixes – Not eligible

The Merrickville Arts Guild (MAG) proudly represents artists across a wide spectrum of mediums, ages, and experience levels. As a cornerstone of Merrickville’s vibrant artistic identity for the past 35+ years, MAG has fostered a creative community rooted in collaboration, inclusivity, and mutual support. We encourage our experienced artists to share their wisdom, offer guidance, and serve as mentors to emerging artists.
Membership is open to artists whose work meets our criteria of originality, craftsmanship, and artistic excellence. Commercially made products (see list) are not eligible for consideration. Applications are pending, and subject to a review by a Membership Committee. Annual $50 membership for artists.
